Arran Limited Edition Port Cask
SM20-016*
Islands Single Malt Scotch Whisky. After maturing many years in a sherry cask, this whisky was filled into a fresh port cask until deemed for bottling. Arran
Harold Currie, former director of Chivas, founded Arran Distillery in 1993. It was the first legal distillery to open up on Arran since 1837. The distillery produced its first spirit on the 17th August 1995. Arran is a small island off the east coast of Scotland. The island can be seen across the water on the drive down to Campbeltown. The small island used to have 30 distilleries on it and most of them were illegal. The last legal distillery on Arran was called Lagg which closed down in 1837. Arran distillery has four Oregon pine washbacks, one wash still and one spirit still. The distillery can produce 750,000 litres a year. House Style: Creamy, leafy. Restorative or with dessert.

Hints of tropical fruit salad, vanilla pods and caramel coated hazelnuts to the nose and, to the palate, leaves a buttery lemon drizzle sweet cake and citrus taste.
