Bruichladdich 32 Years Old Legacy #4
SM85-071*
Bruichladdich has been transformed since 2000 from a worthy but rather dull distillery into one of the most exciting, recognisable and innovative brands, not only on Islay, but in the entire whisky world. This has been down to many factors, but chief amongst these must be the marriage of the marketing genius of Mark Reynier and his team, coupled with the knowledge, experience, passion and commitment of Jim McEwan, one of the industry's most celebrated ambassadors.

Bruichladdich
Bruichladdich (pronounced Broo-ik-LADdie) is found on the North shore of Loch Indaal, Islay. The distillery looks across the water at Bowmore distillery. It used to be the most westerly distillery in Scotland until Kilchoman was built in 2005. Bruichladdich was constructed in 1881 by Robert William and John Gourlay Harvey. The Harvey family remained the owners until the distillery was mothballed in 1929. The distillery reopened in 1936. Bruichladdich is currently owned by Remy Cointreau. The distillery gets it water from a spring on the Octmore farm. It has two wash stills and two spirit stills, and produces 1,500,000 litres a year. House Style: Light to medium, firm, hint of passion fruit, salty. Very drinkable. Apertif.
