Released in 2014, this no-age statement Taketsuru bottling is a blend of malts aged 10 years on average in different types of oak casks. This blended malt is named in honor of Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whisky. He is the first Japanese person to master whisky-making in Scotland and produce the genuine whisky in Japan. Masataka's vision of whisky was formed by his experience in Scotland, where he learned that the rich resources surrounding the distillery were essential for whisky-making. Based on this thought, he selected two places, Yoichi and Miyagikyo, and built two distilleries there.
