Single malt whisky is a whisky made at one particular distillery from a mash that uses one particular malted grain, which is ordinarily barley. Single malts are typically associated with Scotland, though they are also produced in various other countries. Under the Scotch Whisky Regulations, a "Single Malt Scotch Whisky" must be made exclusively from malted barley and must be distilled using a pot still and must be aged for at least three years in oak casks of a capacity not exceeding 700 liters. The Glendronach 33 year old is perhaps the ultimate expression of the maturing art. After 33 long and quiet years maturing in Oloroso Sherry casks, the result is nothing short of superb, rarely are whiskies of this distinction bottled and rarer still are they fully sherry matured.

A 2011 release to fill a gap in the rapidly expanding Glendronach range and named for the Parliament of rooks that live in the trees near the distillery. A tasty combination of sherry matured whiskies, both Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez.
