Glen Grant
Glen Grant Distillery is located in the heart of Speyside. It was founded by two former illegal distillers and smugglers who had the ambition to create what is now one of the biggest brands of single malt in the world. In 1840, the two brothers John and James Grant decided to get a license. By 1872 the founders had died and Young James ‘The Major’ Grant inherited the business. He was known as a legendary innovator, socializer and traveler. He was known to live by his own rules. James was the first man in the Highlands to own a car. He invented the purifiers at Glen Grant Distillery which are still a secret and are still used until this day. Glen Grant has its own elegant Victorian gardens. The gardens were originally established from plants that Major Grant brought back from his trips in Africa and India. The distillery is currently owned by the Campari Group and produces 5,900,000 litres a year.

Dripping with soft fruits and some barley-honey. Whilst a lot of this whisky is meant for blending, it still commands healthy respect from malt whisky drinkers.
