Glencadam
Glencadam Distillery was founded in 1825 by George Cooper. The distillery is located in Brechin, Angus. It was built about 200 yards from the old North Port distillery. It changed owners many times in the 1900’s and is now owned by Angus Dundee plc. They purchased the distillery in 2003 from Allied Domecq, who had mothballed it in 2000. Angus Dundee use the whisky from the distillery in their blended and vatted malts. It can also be found in Ballantine’s blends. Glencadam whisky can be widely found by many sources. The distillery has two stills, one wash still, one spirit still that produce about 1,400,000 litres a year. House Style: Creamy, with a suggestion of berry fruits. With dessert, or after dinner.
